Minecraft Monster Manicure

Happy Halloween!  Now is the time of year to wear scary nails - something many of us nail polish addicts in the blogging world have been doing all month.  I wasn't sure what to do with my nails this Halloween, until I remembered that I've been playing an awful lot of Minecraft lately...and what does Minecraft have?  A lot of scary monsters!  What better thing to wear on your fingernails on Halloween?

 Here's the monsters...spider, zombie, creeper, enderman, and skeleton.

I had a lot of fun with this one, though I don't think I'll do it very often since it took so long.  I painted pieces of scotch tape with nail polish, and cut out the eye and face shapes with nail scissors.

Sorry about the terrible lighting - it's been cloudy and overcast all day, and there's no good natural light to be had.  I will try to take better pictures tomorrow.  I think our weather is a byproduct of Sandy spinning itself out.  Thinking about those on the East Coast.  I hope the lights come on soon and the water is bailed out in safety.

I think my manicure turned out pretty well for a first attempt!  I especially like the spider on my pinky and the creeper.  The colors were hard to match for the zombie though, and his eye got a bit crooked.

Camelot - a England
Perceval- a England
Avalon - a England
Fatigued - Sonia Kashuk
Just In Lime - Sally Hansen Insta-Dri
Concrete Evidence - Ulta Nail Lacquer
And some dark grey polish I mixed together out of a few colors for the skeleton's face.

By the way, I beat the Ender Dragon last night on the vanilla Minecraft server I frequent.  First time I have been able to do that before!  MINECRAFT BADASS REPRESENT.
